St. Benedict's Chapel wishes to emulate the spirit of its patron - St. Benedict, and his admonition "on the reception of guests" as taken from his Holy Rule:
"Let all guests that come be received as Christ, because He will say, 'I was a stranger and you took me in.' and let due honor be shown to all, especially to those 'of the household of the faith' and to strangers."
- From the Rule of St. Benedict
Men from ages 16 and up are invited to join this service of our Parish.
Ushers welcome the faithful and visitors to the Chapel, showing them where seating is available. Ushers also render assistance to those who may need help in getting to and from their pew after Holy Communion. Ushers also help during the Offertory with taking up the collection and securing it after Mass. While the role of usher is a discreet one, they play a vital part in the life of a Parish, "making the stranger feel welcome."
Users are an important asset to a Parish - if you are ready to join this elite team, please contact Mr. John Paul at 459-7159, or email him at john.paul@jfcom.mil
